Poetry, work, & stuff

Wow, a lot has happened since I last updated.

• I went on my first official bonified poetry tour in December.
• I launched my second chapbook in 7 years, The Morbid Book of Haiku.
• I've qualified for the semi finals in the Toronto Slam (June 23).
• I'm on facebook.
• I have officially put a pause on my main and various side-businesses, and I now have an office jobbie-job. Not in computers, thankfully.
• I got my Reiki Level 1. Level 2 coming soon. :D

I've got more big life-changing plans in the works. Stay tuned...

Note: Ok, I wrote this in June and didn't post it until September. Today is Sept. 20, 07 and it's going up. Sorry!

1. Saw a Head-to-Head Haiku Death Match in Austin, TX. Fell in love with it. Creating one in Toronto with a friend so that we can compete in it. :D

2. During my whole WordPlay run, I had a friend (the wonderful Don H.) record all of the shows for the artists' use. Finally I am using mine. I've got 8 tracks up on coffeehouse, 4 of those up on myspace, and 1 secret link to a 9th track. Please note that these were all spontaneous collaboration, so they are raw & edgy, not polished and perfect -sounding.

3. The contract with the company (mentioned in last post) has ended, but I am now the proud owner of a polished & professional looking website & a great photoshoot. Next up, finish my stop smoking ebooks, and then take the world by storm!

Back on Track

I'm happy to say I'm back to working on 2 of my own projects.

In November Toronto will see its first (??) Head-to-Head Haiku Death Match. Stay tuned for that one. ;)

My Stop Smoking business is back up. I have a strategic alliance with a brilliant company that has partnered with me for giving seminars across the country. The first is going to be in St. Catharines in 2 weeks. Too many changes to the biz to tell right now, but soon my newly revamped and very professional new biz website will be up, and you'll be able to keep on top of everything there. (Including all my upcoming radio & TV appearances.)

I'd love to say that that's the end of the traveling for a while, but I'm even happier to say that in fact, it's just the beginning. Only now I'm going to be _paid_ to travel. *grins* Oh yes, life is good.

Travel

I decided I needed to do more traveling this year. I have been spending considerable time traveling around the U.S. so far. You can see pics in my livejournal under the "phototravel" tag.

I'm hoping to do more (and more exotic) traveling later this year.
